More than letters.
Everything in one keyboard: a wheel under your thumb, a clipboard that keeps every copy, a space bar that moves the cursor, and the right keys for every field.
The toolbox
Packed with tools. One keyboard.
Everything below is in the app today. Open any card to see more. Cards marked Watch it play on a live keyboard you can type on.
Gestures
Swipe up from space: languages, tools and Auto under your thumb.
Watch itGestures
A menu under your thumb.
Swipe up from the space bar and the smart wheel opens. Your languages sit on the inner ring, tools on the outer ring, Auto in the middle. Release on what you want.
- 1Pin a language, or release on Auto to follow the sentence again.
- 2Run a tool: copy, paste, the clipboard, autofix on or off, hide the rows, dismiss.
- 3Yours to arrange. Choose what sits on each ring, with a second level when there are more languages.
Hold space and slide. The letters go quiet so you see the cursor.
Watch itGestures
The space bar is a trackpad.
Hold the space bar and slide to move the cursor. The letters go quiet so you can see where it lands.
- 1Flick up or down to jump to the start of a sentence or past its end.
- 2Hold at either end and the cursor runs by itself, faster the further out you go.
Flick up or down while holding space to jump a whole sentence.
Watch itGestures
Flick to a sentence.
While you hold the space bar, flick up to jump to the start of the sentence, or down to jump past its end. A line break counts as a sentence end too.
Hold either end of the bar and the cursor runs by itself.
Watch itGestures
Race through long text.
Hold the space bar, then slide to either end of it. The cursor runs by itself, faster the further out you go, so you never have to lift your finger.
Our own swipe model checks every word, on the phone.
Watch itGestures
Swipe, lift, done.
Draw across the letters and lift. Our own neural model checks every swipe, and the word shows while your finger is still moving. It also learns how precisely you swipe.
Slide left from delete to take whole words, or everything.
Watch itGestures
Swipe to delete.
Slide left from the delete key to remove whole words at once, or all the way to clear the line.
Slide along the space bar to change layout.
Watch itGestures

Every accent your languages use, one hold away.
Watch itGestures
Hold for accents.

Copy, cut, paste, the clipboard and more, a swipe away from the suggestions. You pick which tools it shows.
Autofix, number row, suggestions and rows, on or off without leaving the app you are in.
Watch itToolbar and clipboard
Switch it from the keyboard.
Autofix, the number row, suggestions, the toolbar and the rows above the keys turn on and off from the toolbar or the smart wheel, without leaving the app you are in.
Every copy, images too, by type, as a list or a grid.
Watch itToolbar and clipboard
Every copy, kept.
Every copy you make while the keyboard is up is saved, images too, and the page updates while it is open.
- 1Filter by type: text, links, email, phone numbers, dates, numbers, images.
- 2List, vertical grid or horizontal grid, switched from the page or in settings.
- 325 to 200 items, or switch history off. One-time codes and password-manager copies are never kept.
A copied verification code, offered right in the code field.
Learn moreToolbar and clipboard
Paste a code.
Copy a verification code from Messages, Mail or an authenticator app, and in a code field the bar offers it as Paste code. It finds the code even when you copied the whole message.
- 1Never stored, not even in clipboard history.
- 2Needs Full Access, because reading the clipboard does.

Two swapped letters count as one slip, so “teh” becomes “the”. Missing accents and apostrophes come back too. A capital in the middle of a sentence is treated as a name and left alone. One backspace undoes any fix.
“nao” becomes “não”, “im” becomes “I’m”.

Accents and apostrophes, put back.
Type “nao” and get “não”, type “im” and get “I’m”, and “ca” becomes “ça”. Where both spellings are real words, like “esta” and “está”, the accent is offered in the bar instead of forced.
“i” becomes “I”, “iphone” becomes “iPhone”, and it learns your own.

Capitals where they belong.
“i” becomes “I” and “iphone” becomes “iPhone”. Words you always write a certain way are learned, and you can teach your own spellings, per language. Correct the keyboard once and it stops.
Your iOS shortcuts work, plus a list of your own.
Learn moreWriting help
Your shortcuts, expanded.
The shortcuts you set in iOS work as you type, and you can keep a list of your own in the app. Type the shortcut, press space, and the phrase goes in. One backspace takes it back.
Your own details, like email and phone, one tap away where a field asks.
Learn moreWriting help
Your details, one tap away.
Save your email and phone number in the app. When a field asks for one, it shows in the suggestion bar, ready to tap.
No stray space before a comma, a capital after a full stop.
Watch itWriting help
Punctuation that tidies itself.
A space typed before a comma or a full stop is taken out, and the next sentence starts with a capital.
“whereareyou” offers “where are you”.

Words run together, split.
Missed the space bar? “whereareyou” offers “where are you”, one tap away. It only shows when the bar has nothing better, so it never gets in the way.
Keys for every field
A real number pad in number, decimal and phone fields.
Learn moreKeys for every field
A real number pad.
Number, decimal and phone fields get a pad with large keys, your language’s decimal separator, and letters under the digits like the stock keyboard.
An @ and domains in email fields, .com and / in address bars, domain typos fixed.
Learn moreKeys for every field
Keys for addresses.
Email fields get an @ key and complete the domain after it. Address bars get “/” and “.com”, and a typo in a known domain is fixed, so “gmial.com” becomes “gmail.com”.
